Dr. Alison Happel-Parkins is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Leadership at the University of Memphis. With extensive experience in educational research and leadership, she has served as Interim Chair and now leads the department since 2025. Her scholarly work focuses on qualitative research, community engagement, and educational equity, earning multiple awards including the Outstanding Book Award and the AESA Critics’ Choice Book Award. Dr. Happel-Parkins is committed to fostering innovative scholarship and building collaborative community partnerships.
