VENTURES adds IT command center, 45 technology jobs for students
University of Memphis students will work as systems analysts for FedEx's information technology command center as part of a new partnership between the Memphis-based shipping giant and the U of M.
VENTURES opens second FedEx call center
The original FedEx call center, located in the U of M's FedEx Institute of Technology, now employs 50 students and has a payroll of $50,000 a month.

UMRF Ventures was founded in 2017, with a grant from FedEx Corporation. Our mission is to help University of Memphis students succeed by creating good-paying part-time jobs on campus, and creating potential career paths with our partner companies after they graduate. Since our incorporation in 2017, we have provided employment opportunities to over 400 students and paid 4 million dollars in student wages. We have helped place over 20 students into full-time careers with our partner companies after they graduated from the University.

Our mission is to aid student success, by providing good paying part-time jobs for University of Memphis students, on our campuses. This helps students meet their financial obligations, stay in school, graduate on time, and prepares them for careers after they graduate.
UMRF Ventures works with partner companies, and we develop customized service companies that employ our students, and establishes a talent pipeline for those partners to hire our students when they graduate.
